Sarah Stobbe is a visual artist from Arlington, Tennessee. Currently pursuing her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Memphis on full scholarship awarded at the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. Her work has since been exhibited in multiple juried shows at the collegiate level, including UofM’s “39th Annual Juried Exhibition” as well as UT Martin’s, “Bellwethers” 2021.She is best known for her whimsical ceramic vessels, which have been included in both regional and national shows such as “Best of TN Craft Biennial,” 2021 and “Southern Miss Ceramics National,” 2022. As an undergraduate, she assisted Kate Roberts in teaching an introductory ceramics course for the Contemporary Art Memphis Summer Fellowship Program (2022) and currently works as the ceramics intern for the University of Memphis Department of Art. Graduating with her BFA in Spring 2023, Stobbe plans on working on her MFA degree.
